The New England Stars are off to an impressive start to their season as they currently sit a top of the Eastern Conference of teh Northern States Junior Hockey League with a 5-1 record and an overall record of 7-1.  This past weekend the Stars swept rival, Maine Wild, by scores of 7-4 and 7-3.  Jake Latham and Steve Crocker both posted hat tricks over the weekend, but it is the Stars balanced attacked and consistent defense that  have them positioned where they are at this time of the season.  There are currently eight players that are averaging a point per game and a defense that is averaging two goals against per game.  The Stars will travel to Morrisville, NY this weekend as they look to improve on their overall record in what should be three hard games in the NSHL first showcase of the season.
