The Stars had a lukewarm showing in the Northern States Junior Hockey League showcase this weekend, falling 5-2 to the Roc City Royals, but sailing past the Syracuse Stampede, 6-1. The Stars also fell in a shootout to the Lockport Express.

Despite only coming away with three of a possible six points, the Stars still remain first in the Eastern Conference with a total of 13 points.

"We had a 50/50 weekend," said Head Coach Darryl Green. "We played six 25-minute halves, three of which we played great hockey and the other three were not so great."

However, Green was impressed with the level of play from all three Stars netminders.

"Levesque, Doire and Pauls all played very well," he said.

Stars forward Tim Paige and goaltender Doire were both nabbed for the NSHL honor roll this weekend. Paige registered one goal and three assists in the Stars' three games. Doire stopped all 45 shots in regulation and overtime in the Stars' tilt against the Express, which they ultimately lost in a shootout.
