The New England Stars will look to close the gap between first and second place in the Eastern Conference standings this weekend with two tilts against the Cape Cod Islanders, and four big points on the line.

The Islanders - local rivals for the Stars - will come prepared, said Head Coach Darryl Green. He suspects both games will be close and competitive.

"I think the team that is the most disciplined, focused, and executes their game plan the best, is going to come out on top," he said.

Green said the Stars have been doing enough work to make sure that they're that team - it's just a matter of putting those things into practice during a game.

"We have been working on some items this week at practice, both physically and mentally, and if we are able to improve upon these items, we will increase our changes at winning," said Green.
