The Mite Major team won a close game with the North Shore Shamrocks on Saturday Morning The team came out strong with three early goals in the first period from David Wood, first on his back hand from a pass from Jacob Lee, and againWood scored the second goal just two minutes later with a wrist shot from the slot. Kaiden Belleville scored the third unassisted just 7 seconds later.  The Rocks batted back in the second period with 3 unanswered goals. The game was tied heading into the third and after the speech from Coach Husson between the 2nd and 3rd periods the team came out looking for the win.

The kids battled, and Wood got an unassisted goal with 3:27 left to play. The team continued to play hard under Husson leadership. When the tripping penalty was up the Stars got another penalty which the team killed off. The Rocks pulled their goalie and Stars pressed the Rocks for the remainder of the game.  In fact Memphis Belleville hit the post in the last minute.  All of the players played hard and put in 100%, but Gavin Petrucci caught a player that was going in on a breakaway with less that a minute left to help support his goalie which resulted in no shot on goal.  Goalie Tyler Santosuosso played extremely well in net stopping over 20 shots. Joeseph DeKarski, Jack Hayes and Aiden Husson had some of the best back-checking of the season.

Jacob Nussdorf, Matthew Kaplan, Jack Donovan and Petrucci played solid defense and helped secure the win in a tough game.

Pee Wee Elites had an early morning game Sunday vs the Boston Stars.  Boston started the scoring early in the first. The Stars answered twice in the second with goals by Jace LeClair and Chris Rooney with assists from Colman Donelle and Trevor Martin. The period ended tied two-all. The NE Stars ou- scored Boston 2 to 1 in the third with unassisted goals from Cam Hardy and Chris Rooney,  and quality goal tending from Josh Ratnoff. It was a great team effort to come away with a well deserved 4 to 3 win.

The U14 Bantam Major Premier team played against the Middlesex Bears at Governors Academy. After a very even first period from both teams, the Bears came on board first in the second period. Not being able to capitalize on several power play opportunities, the bears punished the Stars with three shorthanded goals and ended up beating the Stars 5-0 even though the Stars put up a strong effort in the third. Manny Gallant stood out for his strong efforts in the game.

The '07 Stars Mite team lost 11-1 vs the Laconia Lakers on Sunday evening.  The Stars, backed by first time netminder Ryan Gambale, came out energized and battled hard against a team full of skilled players.  After a few quick goals by the Lakers, the Stars picked up momentum and looked as though they may make a game out of it.  A few penalties on James Mantone, Camden Miller and Josh Kahn, which gave the Lakers more chances to put the puck home and ultimately put the game out of reach.  Jeffrey Zou scored the Stars' only goal (also had one called back on a quick whistle) on a wrap around shot.  Though the Stars appeared to be seemingly outmatched in this one, they put in a great effort and played as a team. Hunter Lammi was awarded the "Player of the Game" stick by Coaches Joe Miller and Don Gartner for his hard work on both sides of the puck. The Stars will look to get back at in the Turkey Shoot Tournament hosted by the West River Royals at Tri Town Arena in Hooksett, NH this coming weekend.
