The U14 Bantam Major Premier team played the Dual State River Hawks and won 4-1. The team had a very good performance. We started of the first period controlling the puck most of the 15 minutes and getting into a quick 2:0 lead after Nate Donaldson and Zachary Diamond put one (each) home. The second period was even as the River Hawks picked up the pace and the became was quickly turning momentum from one team to the other. The team was able to get on the scoreboard for the third time after a hard shift from Zachary Diamond who capitalized on his shot.

In the third period after a couple of undisciplined shifts, the first 5 minutes of the third where the guys also got scored on, Coach Molnar called a time out to refocus my groups. Luckily the boys were able to get it together and played smarter the rest of the way and putting home an empty netter from Josh Boyd.

Best player of my team was Hunter Fagan (goalie) who had a very solid game between the pipes.

The Peewee Elites played a home game at the Pilgrim arena vs the Conquistadors. Another well played game by the Stars and a 6-2 victory.
Thomas Kennedy had a goal and 3 assists, Chris Rooney, Colman Donelle Griffin Petrucci each had one goal and Nic Zaharoolis scored two.
The goaltenders spit the game and both played very well.
The second game of the weekend was against the first place Predators. Early penalty trouble gave the Pred's a two nothing lead and the Stars could never muster any quality offense and a late 3rd period goal sent the Stars home for Christmas with a 3-0 loss.

The Mite Majors had a “home and home” series with the Laconia Lakers.  The Stars took to ice at Skate 3 on Saturday morning for the first game.  The team came out fired up and attacked the puck with a purpose.  David Wood got an early goal with wrist shot from the slot.  Late in the period Kaiden Belleville scored an unassisted goal with a wrist shot to increase the lead to 2-0.  About half way through the second period Kaiden Belleville scored a shorthanded goal on a breakaway with a forehand to backhand deak.  The Lakers answered just 30 seconds later to cut the lead to 3-1.  The intensity of the game increased with every shift and the back checking by Aiden Husson & Gage Richard was excellent. Joey DeKarski and Jack Hayes battle hard on the forecheck which created some excellent offensive zone time for the Stars.  Kaiden Belleville netted his third goal of the game with assists coming from Jacob Lee and Gage Richard.  Late in the game the Lakers pressed the Stars forcing Tyler Santosuosso to make some excellent saves.  With their goalie pulled Gavin Petrucci blocked a shot and cleared the puck out of the zone to seal a 4-1 victory.  The team defense was solid with great plays by Matthew Kaplan, Jacob Nussdorf and Memphis Belleville.  This was a great team victory in a very physical game.

Looking to take the series, the Stars hit the ice Sunday morning in Laconia.  The team came out skating hard and got on the board first with a goal by Gavin Petrucci that was assisted by Kaiden Belleville.  But the Lakers, looking to bounce back, scored the next 2 goals to take the lead.  Late in the period the Stars tied up the game at 2 with an unassisted goal by David Wood.   With the game tied at 2 heading into the second period the Stars increased the intensity and took the lead with an unassisted goal by David Wood.  Just a minute later Kaiden Belleville netted the Stars forth goal from a pass from David Wood.  The Lakers kept battling and got a goal late in the second period to cut into the Stars 2 goal lead. The Stars never let up and kept fight for every puck.  Aiden Husson and Gage Richard where committed to the back check.  They sacrificed their bodies which opened up a lot of opportunities for the team.  Team defense was also solid all day with some heads up plays from Gavin Petrucci, Matthew Kaplan, Jacob Nussdorf and Memphis Belleville.   Mid way through the third period David Wood scored the Stars final goal of the game.  The Stars played extremely well in front of net minder Tyler Santosuosso.  Santosuosso had another solid game and made some great saves when the team needed them.   In a very physical and aggressive game the entire team set the tone and won the game 5-3 closing out the “home and home” series with 2 solid team wins.
