NE Stars Peewee Major team defeated the Dual State Riverhawks 4-3 in a non league game on Sunday at skate 3 Arena. On Friday the Stars fell to the first place NH Monarchs of the MPDHL by a 4-2 score.

The Mite Majors had a busy weekend with a game on Saturday and Sunday.  The team travelled to the Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington to face the North Shore Shamrocks on Saturday morning.  The Stars let up two goals in the first period but it wasn’t from a lack of effort.  They team battled back in the second getting a goal from Kaiden Belleville, assisted by Gavin Petrucci.  Later in the period David Wood scored, again assisted but Gavin Petrucci, to tie the game at 2.  The kids kept battling but ran into some solid goaltending and ended up losing a very tight game 4-2. While the Stars came up short the team played a solid game and had some excellent goaltending by Tyler Santosuosso.

On Sunday the Stars hit the ice to play the Laconia Lakers.  The Stars got on the board in the first period with an unassisted goal from David Wood.  Heading into the 2nd period with a 1-0 lead David Wood scored his second goal of the game.  Mid way through the second period  Matthew Kaplan passed the puck to David Wood who brought the puck down the right side of the ice and moved the puck to Jack Donovan in the slot who finished the play with a nice wrist shot.  This tape to tape play and was the highlight of the game!  The Stars never let up and scored three more goals. The goals came from Memphis Belleville, Mark Anthony Angiuoni and David Wood.  Tyler Santosuosso anchored the team having a solid game between the pipes.  He robbed the Lakers on a number of solid scoring chances. Overall this was a solid 6-0 team win.

The New England Stars bantam minor elite team had an exhibition game Saturday against the Boston Bulldogs and lost 6-3. On Sunday the Stars played the Central Mass Outlaws Black team and tied 2-2.
