The Stars Bantam U14 major premier team lost 6-2 against Riverhawks and 10-3 against Middlesex Bears.

The Mite Major Stars faced off against the West River Royals at the Tri -Town Ice Arena in Hooksett NH.  The Stars got on the board first with an unassisted goal from Kaiden Belleville.  The Royals answered shortly after to tie the game at 1. Late in the 1st period, with the Stars on a power play, Wood scored his second goal of the game with the assist coming from Joey DeKarski.  Heading into the 2nd period the Stars had a 2-1 lead when Wood scored his second goal of the game with the assist coming from Kaiden Belleville.  Mid way through the 3rd period the Royals closed the gap scoring their second goal of the game.  With a 3-2 lead in a very tight game Jacob Lee received a nice pass from DeKarski and Lee finished the play with a solid shot that resulted in a goal and increased the lead to 4-2. Many things do not show up on the score sheet, like the play of Aiden Husson.  Husson’s play on both sides of the puck was excellent and opened up opportunities for his line mates.  Goalie Tyler Santosuosso had another fabulous day in net to help secure the win for the Stars.  This was a team victory with excellent effort from every member of the team!

The Bantam Minor Elite team had a tough 3-1 loss on Saturday vs the Boston Stars.

The 03 PeeWee Minor Premier Stars won 7-1 over the Cavaliers.

The Stars Mite Minor team pulled off an impressive victory over the West River Royals 7-4 this past Sunday.  The win was the first against the Royals this season out of 7 meetings, which is a good indication that skill and team play are on the rise.  With five minutes gone in the first period Memphis Belleville put the Stars on the board after receiving a pass from Matthew Hall and hitting the 5-hole with a wrist shot.  Two minutes later Brayden Atwood stole the puck from the Royals at the red line and broke in all alone to put the Stars up 2-0.  The Royals put the pressure on the Stars offensively and what would have been a great defensive play by center James Mantone, turned into an unlucky bounce that cut the Stars lead to 1.  The start of the 2nd period displayed some quick back and forth action as Jeffrey Zou netted a goal 45 seconds in.  That was quickly countered by a Royals goal just 13 seconds later.  The Stars Hunter Lammi was assessed a checking penalty at the 10 minute mark, however the momentum stayed in the Stars favor and Zou put home 2 shorthanded goals in a 45 second span.  The Royals did not give up and added 2 more goals late in the 2nd to bring it to 5-4 before Atwood put home his 2nd of the game on a nice rebound off a Zou shot. Zou would add another goal in the 3rd to give him 4 on the day and secure the 7-4 victory for the Stars.

The Stars take on the Laconia Lakers at home this coming Sunday before heading to Berlin NH for a doubleheader the following weekend.  These games will determine where the Stars fall in the seeding for the playoffs that begin 2/28 @ Everett Arena in Concord NH.

The Stars U12 elites had two wins this weekend: 8-1 vs the Outlaws and 9-1 vs the Conquistadors.
