The U9 Premier Squirt team started league play this weekend with a game on Saturday and Sunday.

Their first game was against the New England Predators on Saturday afternoon.  The Stars started the game strong and got on the scoreboard first taking an early lead.  At the end of the first period the Stars had a 3-1 lead.  The team kept battling and got two more goals in the 2nd period.  At the end of the second period the Stars had a 5-2 lead and finished the game with a 6-4 victory. The entire team played well and earned the victory. The team moved the puck well and the defense (Kaplan, Petrucci, Hayes and Baker) played extremely well and helped anchor the win!

On Sunday morning the team took the ice again to face the NH Jr Monarchs.  Again the stars got on the scoreboard first scored by David Wood. The Monarchs got three goals in the second period and took momentum.  At the end of the second period the Monarchs had a 3-1 lead.  The Monarchs got two more goals early in the 3rd period to extend the lead to 5-1. With the odds against the Stars Sean Meyers netted the Stars 2nd goal.  The play went back and forth until 5minutes to go in the game where Wood netted the Stars 3rd goal assisted by Baker.  Coach Husson called a time out and got the team focused for a run.  The team got 4 more goals in 5 minutes and got the win 7-5. This was an amazing comeback win and was made possible by some solid goaltending by Tyler Santosuosso.

The New England Stars U12 Premier Independent team woSaturday 3-1 over the Providence Friars.  On Sunday they beat a very strong 03 Boston Jr. Penguins team 4-1 @ the Flynn Rink in Medford to close out the month of september with a 7-1-1 record to start the new year.

After dropping the season opener, the 04 Premier Stars have won their last four league games and currently sit in 1st place.

The U13 Elites got their first win of the season 3 -2 VS the JR Monarchs Sunday night. A well played game at both ends of the ice.

The New England Stars 13U Premier team had a tough game against a skilled Walpole Express team on Saturday as they lost a close game 5-3.  The Stars got two goals from Ben Young and one from Mike Kenney.  Assist were credited to Brendan Herbert, John Lessard, John Wright and Jake Figueroa. Evan Butler and Preston Wilson split time between the pipes.  The Stars will host the Boston Stars on Sunday morning October 3rd.  Face off will be at 7:40 am.

The NE Stars U16 Elite went 0-2 on the weekend, losing to both the Dual State Riverhawks and the Eastern Mass Senators.  Saturday's game against the Riverhawks went down to the wire as a Powerplay goal with 45 seconds left gave the visitors the win.  Offensively, the line of Kevin Bruskiewitz, Doug Herling and Alex Sepe played extremely well all weekend long while defensively Michael Mucci had a solid showing.  The Stars now currently sit in 4th place in their division with a 3-2-1 record.

The 2004 PeeWee Elites had a great 5-2 win over the Jr. Monarchs
