Q&A With Head Coach George Husson of the U9 Squirt Premier Team.

Q: How is your team doing this season?

A: We played in a summer tournament with the idea of team bonded.  So heading into the season there are already some team camaraderie which opened the door for a strong start.

Q:Where is your team in the standings?

A: We have had 5 league games are 4-0-1 record which puts at the top of the standings.

Q: What are the bright spots of your team? What do they do well together? What are their strengths?

A: The players have jelled as a unit very well.  They support their teammates on and off the ice and are receptive to learning from their mistakes. Each player contributes in every game and whether their number shows up on the stat sheet or not.

Q: What are some things you are hoping comes together for them more as the season progresses?

A: While we continue to develop the player’s skills we are also developing their hockey IQ.  Our goal is to make them well rounded hockey players that will not shy away from a challenge. So far they have been up to the challenge, which has been great to witness. Most importantly they are building memories that they will have for a life time!
